I initially posted this on Facebook…and after reading it over. I thought…”You haven’t done a blog post in awhile.” So it’s about that time. This is my exact post, unaltered.

Apparently facebook doesn’t want me to make a status message, maybe that post did go through, littered with my usual profanity. If it did good. But I believe what I’m supposed to do is do an about face and go completely out of character (or is it)

Living with my degree of mania is not all that easy… Where to put all that energy that continuously flows through my system. I can withstand some pretty hard hits.. But sometimes there comes a time when I will breakdown. When anger, pain, frustration boils to the point of no return. 

So instead of…being this way. Cursing, damning everyone to the deepest parts of a non-existent hell. I laid down. 

My entire body screaming, my chest feeling as if it was ripped open and my heart jerked out. A person that feels deeper then most can become overwhelmed. 

And still I laid there, tears burning my skin. I recalled a book my father was dying for me to read…”why is everyone so angry”. And I did what it said, with my heart I spoke to an entity that I struggle with the belief of their existence.

Allow me to calm down, to let that blind hulk like rage die, and with it the pain. 

And at that moment, finally He gave me, the calmness that I asked for.

So, I am a user of a site called IMVU.  It is a site where you have this cute little avatar you get to dress up. Classy or slutty? Dirty or clean? The choice is completely up to you and the possibilities are endless!  Well, I started using IMVU back in 2006.  Over the years, IMVU made changes that users didn’t like such as removing features, adding features and even making IMVU accessible to children 13 and up. (as long as they have a parent’s permission)

So a friend of mine who I speak to on IMVU, told me how a user, who openly admitted she was 12 years old tried to add her.  This angered not only my friend, but myself as well. Well, of course I had a chat with the user, she was twelve, I flagged her.  Then I filed a help ticket with IMVU stating the user was underage. THEN I went to the IMVU welcome room and I spotted an actual staff member on the program, in the room and boy, is she rude, cruel and just plain heartless.  But how else can I explain this? Well, I luckily saved the conversation with the IMVU staff member. She is known as Varsha via the program, but her real name is Varsha Baichwal who is the Senior Manager at IMVU and is in charge of Community Experience throughout the website.

Below is the chatlog. I made everything Varsha said in bold. Everything Varsha said that in my opinion, was rude, I made bold and italic. Enjoy. Also in this conversation I am known as Rayvn.

Rayvn: I just had a conversation with a user. She openly admitted to me, she was 12 years old when the profile states she is 18. Now I flagged the chat and I was not rude or mean or anything of the sort, but was suggesting to the user that it would be best to delete the account she has now and wait til she is 13 and ask her parents to sign up for IMVU. How does IMVU handle something like this problem I am talking about?

Varsha: Customer service will review the reported chat and take action as necessary
Rayvn: Now if they find it to be true, will they remove the account?
Varsha: it depends. I will not comment on what action we will take. there are situations when someone says they are 12, we act and ask for age proof and actually they are an adult or a teen
Varsha: so again i will not comment
Varsha: CS will review and take action
Qleophy: this site is for 13 and above only
Varsha: that is correct
Rayvn: 13 and above with parental consent right?
Varsha: and under 13 users if proved are removed
Varsha: 13 and above with parental consent up to 18 correct
Varsha: its in our TOS
Qleophy: sure
Rayvn: But how can IMVU check to see if the user is underage or not when the user is flagged?
Varsha: again, Rayvn we are not going to discuss our policies and procedures her

Rayvn: …I just really feel….that these underage users are getting away with so much and it frustrates a lot of us Adult users who stay true to what we do on IMVU….

Rayvn: I’ve been around IMVU for several years. To me, IMVU is getting to the point where more users are going to Second Life, which I believe is IMVU’s rival. And with so many underage users coming on IMVU, and a lot of being being frustrated and angry with customer service, IMVU staff, the major changes without asking users what they thought, it’s turning people away from IMVU and I might be doing the same.

Varsha: stickers could have been re-rated

(For someone who works for a company, there are times when you want to encourage customers who are planning on leaving, to stay and continue using their service. In this case, Varsha didn’t care.)

Qleophy: well, imvu and second life are truly not the same in many concepts
Varsha: we do have very loyal IMVU users who have been with us for years

(While you make a good point Varsha, as a person who works in a company, that gets money from the consumers who use YOUR service and pays for YOUR service, you are not encouraging me, AT ALL to stay.)

Rayvn: Claire, I think the developer hid the product.

(Ok, not being a grammar nazi here, but for someone who works for a company, specially one that is pretty much based on a 3D Virtual Universe mixed in with a chat messenger, you cannot type at all properly. IMVU made a mistake hiring you. Because that last statement I couldn’t even understand!)

Varsha: what happened to your avatars?
Rayvn: But Varsha, I have been on and off with IMVU since 2006, only 2 years after IMVU started.
Varsha: if they have been disabled by us
Qleophy: i am a virtual world tester in my own fre time myself

Qleophy: i assure you that imvu is currently on par or perhaps even better than all the rest

(This next part, I try to help the user who is talking about her accounts being disabled and why it could of happened. This was when Varsha really angered me.)

(First, as someone who went through what that user was talking about, I wanted to let that user know what MAY have happened to her account, but apparently, Varsha decided to be rude. I mentioned “inappropriate avatar name” several times to the user. Varsha mentioned it once.)

(So using a feature on IMVU called Whisper, I was trying to tell the user to not bother with Varsha since it is clear the staff does not care.)

(This really pissed off the user because the entire time, Varsha was putting her down and even calling her a he! I would be pissed to if a professional was treating me this way.)

(Ok! So, the entire time you were calling the user a he, when the user was female and she says that she is in fact a woman, you have the audacity to say “That does not really matter”?! Are you kidding me?!  You are an IMVU staff member. You are to treat the customers of your company with respect as much as possible and you have the god damn audacity to be rude to a potential customer who can possibly put money in YOUR pocket?! Are you serious?! That there made me call the BBB on your company.)

Have you ever been tired? I’m not talking about the I just got off work, or I had a hard week tired. I mean the the mentally drained tired. The I give up fuck you tired. The kind, where you are screaming as loud as you can…and no one hears you, they look right at you and keep going?

 

 That is where I am now. As a matter of fact, I am the next step from that. The step where it becomes indescribable. I don’t understand why people think I am the same person from just a few months ago…I’ve changed in a big way. I’ll say things you won’t like. I’ll do things that you won’t think is right.

 

 What am I tired from?…being mistreated, not by you, them, and they.By myself. I’m tired of working so damn hard for that end goal and still never reaching it. I’m everyone’s stepping stone to their greatness, where my name get’s erased.

 

 So I’m not the same ol Khere will do it, yeah get Khere…oh hell no that time passed a very long time ago. I’m not going to gladly give the good jobs, and the you are so amazing…yeah that time passed too. Yes I know you’ll miss that me. I’m sorry, I have stuffed those ears with cotton, you are just warbled sound now.
